RESUMO: The paper summarizes known information on Cassidinae fauna of Pernambuco. It is based on excerption of literature data, study of museum material, and implements also records from iNaturalist to create as complete picture of the cassidine fauna of Pernambuco as possible at the moment. Yet the region has high potential for future research as the state of Pernambuco hosts a significant portion of the Atlantic Forest’s northeast sector and thus occurrence of further species is to be expected. As a result, a total of 120 species are reported from the state, 67 of them representing the first distributional records. Furthermore, following taxonomic and nomenclatural acts are proposed based on the study of relevant type material: Heptachispa lineaticollis (Pic, 1928) comb. nov. is transferred from the genus Heptispa Weise, 1906 and Uroplata rectangula Uhmann, 1953 stat. nov. is raised to a species rank, previously it was considered a form of Uroplata girardi Pic, 1934. To facilitate future research on Cassidine fauna of Pernambuco a key to Cassidine tribes occurring there is proposed.
